Post-mortem?
Tuesday, May 27th, 2008I can’t possibly be the only one who does this, but every time some big project comes to an end, I’ll be in a bit of a funk for a while. This year’s was a bit of a double-whammy, with finals followed by the film shoot, so I didn’t really have time to recover from my long run of 5 finals. Production wrapped and I was packing to move back down to Southern California day later. Tomorrow I have to pack and plan for a family vacation to Seattle (our flight leaves at 6pm). The day after I get back from Seattle, I start at my summer firm job.
Hectic, yes. Exhausting, yes. But in some ways, I’m glad it’s preventing me from spending too much time brooding over mistakes made and lost opportunities to be great. I am a perfectionist; just not a very good one.
Summer Projects include getting the Hastings Client Counseling Team website up and running; more comics work; running and weight loss; organizing my room. There’s work to be done still on Spectre. I wanted to put together an art of/making of book, as well. At some point, Temi and I will have another photo shoot, and I’ll have finish the small stack of books I’ve started in the living room as this summer’s “To Read” pile. And I promised Ando an NPC profile for his Shadowrun campaign that is now several weeks overdue (eep!)…and I wanted to start training at the NWTC. Crap. I need to pull myself together.
