Sleepychameleon Hangout v.3

Giant Pikachu balloon/parade float that I think has been at Comic-Con before at least twice. I thought before I arrived there that this would be the place to meet up with groups–”I’ll see you under the giant Pikachu!” One more photo of the little yellow dude here.
But it turned out that Snakes on a Plane had a booth there, and it happened to be a giant snake’s mouth with fangs, and it was also located right next to SciFi Channel’s amorphous purple waste of space, so it was really easy to spot people when you told them, “Iet’s meet up between SoaP and SciFi.”

The only problem being that they were a little too close to where all the non-comicky (i.e. people who were there for the freebies and the movie stuff) crowds were, so getting there was a bit of an issue sometimes.

Obviously, I’m still working on remembering to post every day. Hum.

A life-size-ish renditioning of the Dark Knight, in Legos. The cape wasn’t lego-constructed, but a piece of nylon or polyester that was attached to him. Nearby, a fan blew it gently so that it was constantly in motion.

I’m not sure how much of the feel is conveyed in this photo, but seeing this in person was awesome. I’m no Lego fangirl, but the movement and power of this piece was impressive.

I thought this was a chara from one of the Final Fantasy series, but I am told that no, Sora was specifically created for Kingdom Hearts. Shows you how much I know. I was just going by the hair. :P

On to Convention Photos! This here’s Robby the Robot, in film called–I think–The Forbidden Planet. I may very well be wrong. Don’t think well at 3:30 AM, apparently.

I think I should’ve skipped the flash, but I was lazy. Comic-Con makes me less of a photographer and more of a peoplewatcher, heh.

Few more of these convention floor dealer room fixture thing photos forthcoming, because Neuromancer (and my one copy of Photoshop) is now up and running. Yay, Neuromancer!

This is old, and a repost of another photo. I’ve been testing out Preloadr to see if it does what I want to do. It’s not a bad widget, but I was looking for something that would let me reduce my file size so I can upload more than 10 photos a month. Otherwise, posting the Comic-con photos alone would take half the year.

I like the cropped version. It has more of the feel I’m going for (and yes, I did notice the letterbox/screen still-shape). This would be fun as a desktop wallpaper. I should make one for Raymond, the Drunken Master in the photo.

Also considering upgrading to flickr pro. I like it too much!
